A few weeks ago, Robin The Fog suggested to me that we pull something together in support of the Iklectik crowdfunder. Team CiS were scrambled and the quality of the work from everyone involved speaks volumes about the respect in which Isa and Eduard are held from anyone who has ever had an interaction with them or played at their amazing venue, now lost to property developers. A little London oasis gone forever. We can't let that be the end of the story.

Time is tight. The crowdfunder closes at the end of this month and it's an all or nothing deal. If they don't make the target, all money will be returned and we will have lost something very special. Their future plans include taking the Iklectik experience to other venues around the UK and maybe beyond. We've opened up all tracks on the album so people can listen on the bandcamp, but this album will not be available on streaming platforms.

Please give what you can to ensure these excellent people can continue to do their exceptional work.

Postscript one: Me and Paul Cousins went to check out the venue prior to his album launch event. It was a quantum mathematics thing where the profs were bunging code to a quantum computer in the USA and then channelling back into the live mix. Spoiler alert: Quantum computers can do crunchy beats like you've never heard before. Where else are you going to get that?

Postscript two: Isa and Eduard record everything from the desk without even having to ask. We got the Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan Live EP from them and the Paul Cousins launch party LP is incoming on the CiS Subscription Library. Both of these recordings were in my inbox before I'd even pulled off the A1 on the way home from the gigs at Iklectik. ❤️

Postscript three: While it's desperately sad to lose the site at Old Paradise Yard, ultimately it's about the people and not the place.
Please dig deep to help Isa and Eduard continue.

This is as good as the officially released WRNTDP titles on CIS. Very pleased to pick it up, where the pieces here are longer than most on the records they benefit from the slow unwinding they are afforded. The 18 minute live set excerpt is particularly immersive. Wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to release this on vinyl as a companion to the inevitable repressing of This Nation's Most Central Location. Great stuff. Oh and you get a cool magazine to read as well. Awesome. shaun rogan
